In late 1987 we founded our own real estate company, Still Brothers & Associates. Charlie and I talked about what we wanted in a real estate company. I was 34 years old; Charlie must have been about 28. We thought and talked and eventually wrote some things we wanted to accomplish.
The two main things we wrote down were:
"We intend to not be restricted by history, but to look at each situation as an opportunity for service and building for the future.
We want to build a reputation as a trustworthy, small but powerful local company with aggressive, productive agents"
When I said aggressive, I was not thinking of hucksters that will try and talk people into things against their better judgment- I was thinking of people that will make that necessary call that most people might be reluctant to make- people that would learn and learn and learn about new loan programs, city zoning codes, inspection practices, and staging homes for sale along with many many other things- people that would work around their customers schedule so that buyers and sellers can accomplish their desires.
Charlie and I feel our company is continuing toward our original goals and we are always looking at the current situation to see what opportunities there are for the future. I look forward to dreaming bigger dreams and accomplishing them in our next two decades.
